The Bay Times Endorses Rafael
Thursday, October 28th, 2010The Bay Times came out with a very strong endorsement of Rafael yesterday.
San Francisco has a proud tradition of being cutting edge, at the forefront of leading the country in social change, and there is one – and only one – candidate in the race for the supervisor to represent The Castro who fits that bill, and that is Rafael Mandelman.

Meet Rafael Mandelman!
Monday, October 25th, 2010Mobilization with a Senator, a Supervisor, and a Legend
Sunday, October 24th, 2010In his years of working to make San Francisco a better place, Rafael’s made a lot of friends with his honesty, integrity, and hard work. Today, a few of those friends turned out to help with the campaign.
State Senator Leland Yee kicked off the mobilization, “Rafael is not one to raise his voice,” he said, “but he’s someone who always speaks up for what he believes in.”
Cleve Jones, a legend in San Francisco gay politics, and one of the driving forces behind the making of the movie Milk, said, “I know who Harvey would support, and it’s Rafael.”
Live blogged D8 Debate
Sunday, October 24th, 2010We’re a little behind the ball on this one, but the online newspaper Bay Citizen live blogged last Thursday’s D8 debate. There’s even video!
Another endorsement
Saturday, October 23rd, 2010Web Magazine LezGetReal.com endorsed Rafael today, stating
my endorsement must go to Rafael Mandelman, the most progressive candidate in my view, yes, but that is not all -there is a vast mindset difference between someone who is trained and works as an assistant DA prosecuting for the City, compared to one who works representing people in the arenas impacted by Supervisors. involving the very depth of understanding of issues that will be required of the elected candidate.
The magazine, subtitled “A Gay Girl’s View on the World” joins dozens of organizations and hundreds of individuals in supporting Rafael’s run for supervisor.
